Project Support Officer – 0.8 FTE - Maximum-term contract
- Part-time- 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE). Maximum-term contract to 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension, dependent on funding.
- FTE Salary on offer - $71,498 - 79,714 plus super and salary sacrifice benefits, pro-rata to 0.8 FTE

About NADA
The Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies (NADA) is the peak organisation for the non government alcohol and other drugs sector in NSW. Our vision is a connected and sustainable sector providing quality evidence-based programs to reduce alcohol and drug related harms to NSW communities.
NADA’s goal is to lead as a member driven peak body, building sustainable non government alcohol and other drug organisations to reduce alcohol and drug related harms to individuals, families and communities in NSW.
We represent 80 organisational members that provide services in over 100 locations across NSW that provide a broad range of services, including health promotion and harm reduction, early intervention, treatment, and after-care programs. Our members comprise of services that are diverse in their structure, philosophy and approach to drug and alcohol service delivery. NADA provides a range of programs and services that focus on sector and workforce development, information management, governance and management support, sector representation and advocacy, as well as actively contributing to public health policy.
Role responsibilities
You will report into the Operations Manager and work collaboratively, and closely, in a small team environment.
This role will have a focus on coordinating a wide variety of educational events and event types, from webinars to in-person events. You will thrive in this fast-paced role if connecting and communicating with internal/external stakeholders of all levels and backgrounds excites you!
- Event coordination – book venues, catering, event speakers/facilitators (including organising their travel/accommodation) for in-person events as well as coordinating webinars and editing videos for online events. Creating and sharing communications for events as well.
- Assist with bump-in/out for conferences and events.
- Ad hoc administrative support (such as evaluation reports, NADA conference support, data entry, printing documents), as well as secretariat support (coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support project management delivery).
- Support the Training Grants program, (coordinating the providing preliminary assessment of all applications, updating applicants and coordinating the distribution of funds) providing excellent service and building strong relationships with members in the grants program – as well as supporting program staff to deliver broader sector development, training and capacity-building initiatives.
- Project administrative support such as contributing to and/or developing and submitting project reports as required.
- Contribute to a culture of quality improvement (QI) and ongoing organisational development – working with the QI Coordinator to review and suggest and implement changes to internal systems, policies and procedures.
About the successful candidate
You will have an interest or passion for the for-purpose sector, and an understanding of the role NADA plays as a peak body organisation dedicated to capacity building in the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) space.
- Strong computer and technical skills – intermediate to advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
- Highly organised with previous experience in an administrative, secretariat or event coordination role.
- Growth mindset with a can-do attitude, comfortable working in a small team environment.
- Capacity to travel to a range of in-person events in Greater Sydney or regional NSW – a valid driver’s license will be highly regarded for this position. Occasional out of hours work may be required, time in lieu will be provided.
