About the Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager of Grower Relations & Thought Leadership, this role will lead Grain Growers' flagship capacity-building programs. With a focus on developing leadership initiatives, managing alumni engagement, and driving program growth, the role will play a key part in strengthening the capability and leadership of growers across Australia.
Your responsibilities will include :
Capacity Building & Leadership Development:
- Lead the delivery of flagship leadership and capacity-building programs, including the Australian Grain Leadership Program (AGLP) & OnBoard.
- Continuously improve program design and delivery using best practice monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks.
- Oversee participant engagement, assessment, and program outcomes.
- Develop and enhance leadership pathways to create long-term industry impact.
- Identify grower capacity-building needs and develop solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including program participants, sponsors, and industry partners.
- Provide high-level oversight of event and sponsorship strategy, budgeting, and execution.
- Lead the Events Officer to ensure smooth delivery of key events, fostering a high-performing team culture.
- Proven experience in leadership development, capacity-building programs, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong ability to develop and scale initiatives.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, program management, and financial acumen, including effective budget management.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with a people-first approach and the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Passion for professional development, with an interest in agriculture (industry experience is desirable but not essential).
- Flexibility to travel nationally and work outside standard hours as required.
