Queensland Injectors Health Network (QuIHN) is a statewide, not for profit, and non-government health service which provides a variety of health services to people who use substances throughout Queensland, offering therapeutic and harm reduction services and access to their Better Access Medical Clinic.
About the role:
As the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies, creating engaging content, and managing communication channels to enhance brand visibility. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective messaging across various platforms.
Please note this is a permanent part-time role working 3 days per week (22.5 hours), with flexibility on which days this is.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote the organisation’s brand and initiatives.
- Create engaging content for digital and print platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.
- Development of SEO strategy to utilise keywords, Google Ads and other resources to improve website ranking and visibility.
- Managing the back end of the new company website, and social media sites.
- Focus on the effective communication of QuIHN’s purpose, health programs and activities to ensure accessibility and participation of clients and stakeholders.
- Proven experience (3 + years) in a marketing or communications role specifically within a NFP or community based organisation.
- Demonstrated experience utilising a variety of digital marketing channels (including automation, email, performance media, SEM, social media, content, SEO).
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Business, or other relevant experience.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
- Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to relate and communicate with empathy, sensitivity, and cultural awareness to engage diverse audience.
- You can demonstrate you are an ally of the AOD community or have lived or living experience of substance use.
